Real Estate Tips From a New Homeowner

3 Benefits Of Townhome Rentals Over Condos

As you look for new rental options, you will come across many homes and types of buildings to look for. Besides a traditional apartment, you may come across alternate options like condos or townhomes. A townhome has some key differences from a condo. Learn about the differences and why you will find advantages of a two-bedroom townhome for rent.

Once you learn about the differences, you can know exactly what to look for when you search for new rental properties.

1. Floor-Level Access

With a townhome, you will typically have floor-level access to the home. A condo could have a main entrance found on multiple levels of the apartment. With floor-level access, you will have quicker entry to your home. Floor-level access also gives you easier ways to get items into the rental.

When you first move in, you can easily bring your boxes in the townhome. Once you are moved in, the floor-level access makes it a lot easier for everyday trips. For example, when you go on a grocery trip, you don't need to worry about carrying grocery bags up the stairs each time. You can easily carry them right into the front door and into the kitchen.

2. Fewer Neighbor Disturbances

When you rent a condo, chances are, you will have other condo renters either above you or below you. In a townhome, you will typically have other guests on the side. When you have neighbors who live above you, you could hear footsteps or noises on a daily basis. If you have neighbors below you, you could disrupt them with your own movements.

In a townhome, the second level of a house will typically feature your own bedrooms. No matter what floor you are on, you do not need to worry about any extra disturbances. The difference can make it a lot easier for daily activities like exercise, dancing, or raising children.

3. Traditional Home Features

A townhome will typically feature more square footage than other rentals like a condo. With expanded square footage inside a house, you can enjoy a lot more of the traditional home features. For example, a townhome will typically feature a laundry room so you can do laundry at home. A smaller condo may not feature laundry services in the building. You may also get a parking spot right in front of your townhome so you do not need to walk far to access your home.

Contact a local real estate agent to find two-bedroom townhomes for rent and see what options are available to you.

About Me

Real Estate Tips from a New Homeowner

While some people "wing it" when purchasing their first home, I went about the process differently. I put a lot of research into home market trends before even deciding where I would like my new home to be located and learned about all of the steps of the buying process. Once I was ready to start looking at homes, I hired a real estate agent who was very impressed with all the knowledge I had accumulated about the home-buying process before I even owned my first home! I love learning, so I actually greatly enjoyed learning all about real estate, and I am still keeping on top of the latest real estate news and trends since I know they will come in handy when I decide to upgrade into a larger home in the future. I decided to help others by sharing what I have learned on a blog!
